One Year of Manis for Grannies!!!

Our first visit to VanDyk - Sept 7th 2024
Our first visit to VanDyk - Sept 7th 2024

One year ago, on September 7th, I walked into a senior center with a few of my closest friends for our very first visit. We had no idea then that this simple idea — painting nails and sharing conversations — would grow into something so special.

That day was the start of Manis for Grannies. Over the past year, we’ve built friendships, created memories, and brought a little extra joy into the lives of seniors in our community. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Now, as my friends, the founding members, and I begin our college journeys, we’re stepping into exciting new chapters. My hope is that each of us carries the spirit of Manis with us and finds ways to continue this work in our own new communities.

Welcoming the Next Chapter

As we move forward, I’m so excited to share that one of our current volunteers, Ally, will be stepping into a leadership role this year. Ally’s compassion, energy, and dedication have been such a gift to Manis, and I know she’ll do an incredible job helping guide our new team of volunteers.

To our new members joining the Manis family — welcome! I’m so excited for you to bring your own heart and creativity into this mission and to continue building connections with the seniors we serve.

Looking Ahead

Thank you to everyone — our founding members, our new team leader, Ally, and the seniors who have welcomed us into their lives for making this first year so meaningful.

This is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see how Manis continues to grow, create connections, and brighten even more lives in the years ahead.

With love and gratitude,

Arianna - Founder, Manis for Grannies
